Coaching objectives

Typical coaching objectives that my clients bring range from a need to increase their effectiveness in leading themselves, their teams, or their organizations in order to create better engagement or to evolve other key leadership competencies and behaviors. These objectives often come at pivotal moments in their careers such as role transitions and in times of heightened uncertainty.

We always work with the aspiration to generate awareness, insights and appropriate action steps that help you to achieve your objectives and to ultimately become more effective and successful.

Coaching process and alignment

Transparency and clarity on what you want to achieve in our program are key. We therefore clearly define your coaching objectives at the start of our partnership, often together with your organizational sponsor. We also agree on key touch points along the way (such as mid-term and final review meetings, feedback) and discuss "what ifs..." that might pose a challenge during the engagement.

Coaching methods

Confidential conversations which provide a space for candid reflection and growth are at the heart of all of my programs. If useful and depending on the mutually agreed coaching objectives, I draw on various methods. For example

  • Personality assessment

  • 360 degree feedback

  • Life-Supervision ("Shadowing")

  • Mapping constellations

  • Input from coaching models and relevant theories such as systems psychodynamics or the Immunity to Change approach

Extent of the program

My programs usually run over the span of 6-12 months. Depending on your preferences and objectives, the program parameters are tailored to you:

  • Frequency of interactions (e.g. monthly, bi-monthly, weekly)

  • Type of interactions (in-person or virtual)

  • Duration of sessions (e.g. 1-2 hours)

  • Incorporation of coaching days (e.g. half/full day)

  • Inclusion of life-supervision (e.g. 1-2 days)

  • Your access to me (e.g. during sessions only, in-between sessions)
